Tasty Tuesday: Bulk French Toast Tip

When we have an excess of eggs, I make large batches of french toast. I cool the toast off completely and then freeze individually on wire racks. Once frozen, they stack nice in a used bread bag and will not stick to each other. (If you put them in the bag before they are frozen it will be much harder to get them apart when needed.)

Now when you need a quick breakfast or snack, simply take out enough pieces to feed your family and either heat them in a regular toaster or put them in a covered dish of some sort and heat them in the oven. Here is a photo of the french toast  right out of the freezer, ready to bag up:

This is an excellent gift to give to a busy mother, a sick mother, or a mother who has just had a baby. They are also great to have on hand for busy days in your own home or days when you just do not feel well (let's face it, it happens!). It's healthy and tastes good too!
